Signature grows its slate for 2015 with six new acquisitions

LONDON – Monday 16 March. Signature Entertainment has today announced the acquisition of six new titles to add to its slate for 2015.

The latest films to be announced for UK release by Signature Entertainment are as follows:

 

DAUGHTER OF GOD

From Fortitude International, DAUGHTER OF GOD is a supernatural thriller trailing Detective Scott Galban (Keanu Reaves; The Matrix). Following the death of his partner, the officer-of-the-law is on a mission to seek out the truth as he investigates the mysterious circumstances surrounding his colleague’s demise. Violence, tinged with a hint of the paranormal, follows when his journey leads him to cross paths with Isabel (Ana de Armas; Knock Knock); a young woman who claims to have witnessed a miracle.

 

DAMASCUS COVER

From Carnaby International, Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Match Point, Mission Impossible III) stars in this espionage thriller based of Howard Kaplan’s best selling 1997 novel. Inspired by true life events, the film follows veteran spy Hans Hoffman, (Meyers), as he goes undercover in Syria to smuggle a chemical weapons scientist and his family out of Damascus. He quickly realises he is being followed when his partner disappears and his routine mission reveals a strong of murderous conspirators. Olivia Thirlby (Juno, Dredd) and John Hurt (Alien, V for Vendetta) also star.

 

THE TRUST

From Highland Film Group, THE TRUST is a violent crime caper which follows two evil cops, played by Nicolas Cage (Face Off, Leaving Las Vegas) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of The Ring), who discover a hidden bank vault guarded by a notorious gang. Little to they know that their lust for the content will thrust them into a deadly well of corruption, leaving them fighting for their lives and unsure of who to trust.

 

MOMENTUM

From 6 Sales and Moonrise Pictures, Morgan Freeman (Shawshank Redemption), Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) and James Purefoy (Solomon Kane, A Knights Tale) star in this edge of your seat action thriller. Set in Cape Town, Momentum tells the story of Alex Farrady (Kurylenko), a ruthless and wanted femme fatale. After a heist goes totally wrong, she finds herself on the run from a deadly assassin squad who have been hired to kill her when she inadvertently comes into the possession of a valuable key.

 

ADMIRAL

From Arclight Films, ADMIRAL, an adventure epic, is an international Box Office smash hit starring Charles Dance (Game of Thrones, The Imitation Game). The true story of the largest and most passionate innovators in combat engineering, Michael Rutyer. As The Netherlands is attacked by England, France and Germany, and is on the verge of a second war, one man leads the country’s strongest weapon in to battle… the Dutch fleet.

 

DEAR WHITE PEOPLE

From The Exchange,  DEAR WHITE PEOPLE is a barbed, cutting and brilliant comedy starring Dennis Haysbert (24, Heat), Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris) and Kyle Gallner (American Sniper). In the age of Obama, DEAR WHITE PEOPLE follows a group of African American students as they navigate campus life and racial politics at a predominantly white college.
