Berlin: Scott Mann to Direct Action-Thriller ‘Final Score’

Scott Mann will direct the action-thriller Final Score, which is based on a script by The Brothers Lynch.

The story is set at a major sporting event, during which the stadium is seized by a group of heavily armed criminals demanding ransom. An ex-soldier must use all his military skills to save the 35,000 capacity crowd, one of which is the daughter of his fallen comrade.

Highland Film Group (HFG) is handling international sales, and will introduce the film at EFM in Berlin.

Casting is currently underway for a summer/fall start date, and the film will shoot at West Ham United’s world-renowned Upton Park Stadium in London. Signature will give Final Score a wide theatrical release in the U.K. in 2017.

Signature’s Marc Goldberg will produce with The Fyzz Facility’s Wayne Marc Godfrey and Robert Jones. Highland Film Group’s Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier will executive produce.

Signature’s Marc Goldberg commented: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to film in this unique and legendary location. The Premiership is the biggest football league in the world and their impending move from Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium has been reported globally. We have a stellar team looking to deliver a $20 million nonstop action, world-class film with a one-off unique opportunity to utilize an iconic stadium before it’s demolished. Imagine Die Hard in a Soccer Stadium.”

Mann, who previously helmed 2015’s Heist and 2009’s The Tournament, is represented by Paradigm, Independent Talent Group, Aperture Entertainment and Marc Von Arx.
