Signature secures strong haul in Cannes

LONDON, Monday, June 1st, 2015: Signature Entertainment has enjoyed an effective trip to Cannes this year, securing a further raft of strong titles and adding to an ever-growing 2015 slate:

DOG EAT DOG

Nicholas Cage (Dying Of The Light, Kick-Ass) teams up again with the legendary Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver, The Last Temptation Of Christ) for this taut crime thriller from Arclight. Three men recently released from prison and with California’s punishing three strikes law looming over them, go on to commit the ‘perfect’ crime but find that their own circumstances, the system and the long arm of the law are never far from getting the better of them.

BARELY LETHAL

The Highland Film Group presents Hailee Steinfield (Pitch Perfect 2, Ender’s Game) as Megan Walsh, a teenage special ops agent who yearns for a normal adolescence. After faking her own death, she assumes the role of an exchange student and quickly learns that surviving the treacherous waters of a typical American high school can be even more difficult than international espionage. Samuel L Jackson (The Kingsman: Secret Service, Avengers: Age Of Ultron), Jessica Alba (Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Into The Blue) and Sophie Turner (Game Of Thrones, X-Men: Apocalypse) support.

Sarah Jessica Parker returns to the rom-com in AmbiÕs All Roads Lead To Rome. Maggie, an uptight American, is forced to reunite with Luca, her former lover, as they embark on a road trip across Italy in an attempt to track down her rebellious teenage daughter. In the meantime, LucaÕs mother has her own mission in mind and the seductive power of the Italian scenery also begins to work its own individual kind of magic…

SAVVA: HEART OF THE WARRIOR

Highland Film Group’s Savva is an original animated adventure about a 10-year old boy living in a small village in a forest that was once protected by a pack of regal white wolves.
