Signature grows production arm as it hires Ben Jacques as Head of UK Production. UK based studio Signature Entertainment today announced their ambitious plans to expand their production output by hiring award-winning British producer Ben Jacques as their Head of UK Production.

Reporting to Signature CEO and founder Marc Goldberg, Ben will be responsible for driving, developing, and delivering the company’s slate of UK film productions. Ben and Signature previously collaborated on 2017’s home-entertainment, chart-topping hit The Hatton Garden Job where Ben acted as lead producer and Signature financed, distributed and executively produced the Matthew Goode crime thriller. Their second co-production was James Nunn directed One Shot starring Scott Adkins, Ashley Greene and Ryan Philippe, which was financed and co-produced by Signature’s US production company Signature Films.

The company’s other past UK productions include Olga Kurylenko and Gary Oldman thriller The Courier, Dave Bautista and Pierce Brosnan actioner Final Score and acclaimed thriller Bull. 2022 releases include Confession starring Colm Meaney, Hounded with Samantha Bond and Ed Westwick WWII thriller Wolves of War.

Ben has worked in the film industry for over 10 years before he produced his first solo feature The Hatton Garden Job in 2016. Ben’s other co-producing credits include iBOY, London Heist, Green Street 3, I AM SOLDIER, Accident Man 2, Erica, The Marine 6: Close Quarters and Never Back Down: Revolt, amongst others.

Commenting on the hire Goldberg commented “I’m delighted Ben has joined us, we have a hunger to continue building on our reputation for producing high quality British content and Ben has demonstrated he can deliver. We want to support a broad range of voices and filmmakers stretching across different budget levels that complement the incredible slate of films we distribute in the UK.”

Commenting on his new role Jacques said “Having been working hand in hand with Signature on numerous productions over the last decade, it’s wonderful to be joining the team in-house and continuing their ambitious vision for UK productions. it feels like coming home”

The news comes after it was reported that the film studio recently reclaimed their independent status when the company’s original stakeholders bought back the company from private equity firm FFI. A move that has allowed Signature’s distribution, production, and international divisions under one roof in 2022.
