Colm Meaney and Stephen Moyer to star in Signature Produced Thriller, Confession

Signature Entertainment and Picture Perfect have today announced that True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Golden Globe nominated Colm Meaney (Con Air, TV’s Gangs of London) have joined the cast of independent thriller Confession, due to start production next week.

Written and directed by filmmaker David Beton (The Hatton Garden Job, Tower Block), Confession will begin shooting next week. The film follows a wounded, bloodied man (Moyer) who takes a priest (Meaney) hostage, hell-bent on confessing a vengeful truth before it’s too late. But why here, why now? There is nothing random about this encounter as it’s revealed their pasts are inextricably linked in a way you could never imagine.

Colm Meaney, who recently starred in the acclaimed crime caper Pixie and TV’s hit show Gangs of London, will play Father Peter whilst Stephen Moyer, who previously worked alongside director David Beton in 2017’s hit The Hatton Garden Job (aka. One Last Heist) will play Victor Strong, the mysterious captor.

Confession is produced by Picture Perfect’s Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar and Jeet Thakrar (Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot). Signature Entertainment’s Elizabeth Williams and Marc Goldberg (Final Score, The Hatton Garden Job) are executive producers. Signature Entertainment will be handling worldwide sales and have opened pre-sales at this week’s AFM Online 2020. Confession is due for release next year.

Director David Beton commented, “I feel extremely privileged and excited to be working with such a fantastic cast on Confession. I’m delighted to be collaborating with Signature again and Lucinda and Jeet from Picture Perfect have been superb. I’m sure this will be the first of many. Let’s end 2020 with a bang!”
